Dare to Dream!

"A dream is a wish your heart makes" -Cinderella.

In my opinion, it means that every person who has heart must have a wish and sometimes we don't want it lasts long just as a wish, it needs to be transformed into a dream and just like most of dreams, it must be realized so our heart will be satisfied. When a wish just sinks and settles in the bottom of our heart, we feel like there is something wrong or there is something unfinished and it will be ended just like, okay, it's only the imagination, just forget it and move on.

Up to this, I think, the different between a wish and a dream is correlating to how big our intention to make it comes true. A wish, just like a wish, we pray, we hope, something good happens to us, but there is no significant efforts to obtain it. Just wait and see. The possibility to get what we wish, is only 10%, it's about fortune, I think.

While a dream, I can say, the possibility to be reached is 80%, because there are efforts to achieve. A true dreamer like Andrea Hirata always remember his saying "Dream, for God will embrace your dream". I also believe this.

I have a story, it's my first time having a wish and I seriously wanted to make it became true, so I tried really hard.

One day, just like an ordinary elementary school student, I underwent the school life just so-so. I studied, I did my homework, I played with my friends, I watched cartoon, and did many things fun. It's about when I was in the 4th grade. Then, I had a wish, I wished I had bicycle so I could ride bicycle together with my friends every afternoon after school.

Before that, from baby until this ages, whatever my wishes were, my parents always granted it. But for this time, my father gave me a challenge. If I could pass the 4th grade with satisfied scores, I would be bought a new bicycle. I thought it really hard. I compared my life before, just by whining, I could get what I wanted. But, this time was different, my father wouldn't apply it any more. He wanted me to have efforts to reach what I want. In the end, I took the challenge.

I just armed with a wish, but I seriously wanted to make it. My wish transformed into a dream. I kept studying hard. I didn't care about the result. I knew, I had never been in top 3 in class, I just like average students. It's like a dream. I was just doing what I could do.

Unexpectedly, the result came. I was in the second rank in the class. I felt like I was in a dream world, it's like a dream to be in the top 3 in the class. I knocked out a student who always be in the top 3. Again, I never imagined it before. Absolutely, my main dream about having new bicycle was granted by my father. I really excited.

It was my turning point when I became addicted to have dreams. I learned a lot from my experience, what I thought it's impossible, by keep trying hard, doing what I can do, I can break my limit. Just like Audrey Hepburn said, "Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE, the word itself says I'M POSSIBLE".

So from that time, I turned myself into a dreamer. I believe you also can be a dreamer. Every person can be a dreamer. Just remember, a dream is different from a wish. To be a dreamer, be brave, try hard, never give up, and believe you will get what you want, it's just a matter of the time. So,

what are you waiting for?

Start dreaming!
